EQUILIBRIUM
Photographs, 2020-2022
The ocean's depths create a new realm, as of a newly discovered planet, where peculiar rules apply: Gravity, balance, visibility, temperature, highs and lows create new possibilities and new challenges.
Unexpected currents might shift the photographed subject in different directions, thus creating chaos but also interest; changes in gravity require adaptation but allow new physical expressions; and difficulties in visibility may create new layers to the photograph.

The process was neither staged nor digitally altered, but documents a real-time event that unfolded in the sea. It reflects an intuitive collaboration with nature — a recurring element in my practice, where environmental forces are invited to shape the outcome in ways that remain unpredictable until they emerge.
